'Real Housewives Of New Jersey' Stars Sell Tickets For Season 4 Premiere Party

How Much Does It Cost To Party With New Jersey 'Housewives'?

The "Real Housewives of New Jersey" returns Sunday night and a few of the enterprising cast members are hoping to cash in on the season premiere by inviting fans to watch the show with them. So how much will it cost to snag a seat next to one of the housewives? About as much as a steak dinner.

For $45 per person (plus a $5.85 service charge), you get to hang out with Joe and Melissa Gorga, and Kathy and Richard Wakile. There will be an open bar and what they are calling a "light buffet and passed appetizers" from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m., then a cash bar and DJ. The price of admission also includes a question-and-answer session from 9 p.m. to 10 p.m., followed by a screening of the season premiere.

“It’s so tacky,” a member of the "Housewives" community tells me. “We have all tried to make money selling cocktails, books and doing appearances thanks to the success of the show, but hanging out at a club for five hours with fans that pay $45 to be with you is desperate.”

And although Melissa and Kathy stand to make several thousand dollars at the event, they'll have to be careful or risk losing their jobs.

“Bravo has a very strict policy in the contract that you are not allowed to use the Bravo logo or photographs without permission,” a Bravo insider tells me. “As long as they don’t present this as an official Bravo event, there is nothing we can do. Hopefully, they build buzz for the show and have a great event.”
