Its not clear to me that one month of record temperatures constitutes a warming trend (sorry Amy). It is, however, clear as a bell that there is a global warming trend when you analyze the termerature data provided by NASA. It is steep, and it is steady (sorry doubters)

The Maldeves are going under. Its easy to ignore, here in the U.S. But these people are going to lose thier country and its not because of anything that they did.

I did see Nasheed on the tube the other night and I find this guy to be really bright. His country could use him in coming up with some mitigation strategies (which, I fear, will eventually be dominated by abandoning thier country).

HAH it is snowing in April and the Kooks are talking about Global WARMING!!! Don't they know that scientists don't know anything? The more prestigious the universities that they are affiliated with, the less they know. The more extraordinary the credentials, the less they know!! These are proven facts!

How can the kooky scientists imagine that they have anywhere near as much important stuff to say on the issues effecting atmospheric science as Rush Limbaugh, he really understands the climate issues better than any scientist. And he has instructed the entire GOP so of course they and their supporters also know better than any scientist.

And rescind James Hansen's! He has been proven wrong! Warming is 30% higher than the worst case scenario in his 1982 paper which shows he doesn't have a clue!

30% warmer, 30% cooler. What the heck? These nuts are hellbent on suicide. While I find myself evolving (or devolving) constantly in my understanding, my state of mind today says we just leave the plutocracy to run its course, while we focus on what's to replace it. But we can't afford to let them get Keystone XL; it would preclude that new society. It's not clear if we should fight for the Arctic either, since it's going to melt anyway. But if we just withdraw our support from the oil plutocracy, just don't support it in thought, word or deed (I know, we still have to drive cars and use technology, but if we see this only as unavoidable and temporary in the current context), we might have a chance.
