Chelsea Handler's Boyfriend, Andre Balazs, Might Not Be Future Husband, Comedian Says

Talk show host Chelsea Handler may have rekindled her romance with former ex-boyfriend Andre Balazs in February, but that doesn't mean that the couple is planning on tying the knot.

In the May issue of More magazine, the comedian admitted that while she's "madly in love" with Balazs, she doesn't exactly consider herself the marrying kind.

"I’ve never been proposed to, and I don’t know that that’s in my future,” Handler told More. "I don’t know that I’m marriage material."

And it doesn't seem like the 37-year-old is all that interested in getting married in the first place. “I don’t know if I would ever want to be someone’s wife," she said. "It makes breaking up much more complicated.”

Handler dated Balazs, a New York-based hotelier and multimillionaire for about nine months before the pair parted ways in November 2011.

Handler cited distance as one of the main reasons why the couple decided to call it quits. "We had dated for nine months, a long-distance relationship with all the stresses and traveling and running around. It wasn’t a real life; we weren’t living together," she said in the interview with More.

According to Handler, Balazs approached her and told her that he wanted to give their relationship another try. The couple reunited over Grammy weekend, and were even caught by paparazzi posing cheek-to-cheek at the Chateau Marmont in Los Angeles.

In the past, the TV show host has been linked to rapper 50 Cent and "Animal Planet" host Dave Salmoni. Balazs previously dated actress Uma Thurman.

I've enjoyed Chelsea's show - but it's time she learn that sometimes the BEST thing a woman can do is to keep the personal stuff, uh, personal. The most beautiful people (whether or not they fulfill the media's standard of beauty) are those that are true to themselves without putting others down!

I have been a fan of Chelsea for many many years...pre Chelsea Lately.

However; her rants about Angelina Jolie are getting really old. I am all about women supporting eachother. Ms. Aniston has appeared to move on, so should everyone else. Jolie did not steal anything....You can't steal someone who is willing to go.

Chelsea needs to stop it, its not her battle, frankly its not her business.

Thank you for your sensible post. I am not a Chelsea fan, but you are right on about the need for her to move on past her Jolie rants. Jen seems to have moved on and besides, Jen can fight her own battles. She doesn't need Chelsea to do it for her. That's teenage stuff.

I don't think those people that go on and on about Jolie for Jennifer's sake realize that they make Jennifer seem helpless by still harping on it. She's not though, she handled it all very well and seems to be having a ball with the new guy. People rehashing it only make it awkward for her, I imagine.

I liked Chelsea when I first saw her show a couple of years ago but I was concerned about her references to vodka and alcohol in general. As time went by and she started looking a little like a heavy drinker, I sure hope she doesn't keep going down that road. It won't turn out well.
