Who said mobiles are just for babies? Etsy shows us how to create a simple paper bird contraption that all ages can enjoy. In this video, toy designer and daddy blogger Joel Henriques of Made By Joel explains the easy process behind a DIY bird mobile. All it takes is colored paper, a wooden stick, an eye hook, and some thread and bird templates, which you can download for free.
To assemble, simply print and cut out the birds. Tie one piece of thread to both ends of the stick. Then, tape one end of a string to a bird and tie the other end to the stick. Repeat the process with the remaining birds. Next, hang the mobile from the ceiling using an eye hook and a long piece of string.
Not only is this project easy enough for young children to do, but we love the fact that they can customize the birds with their choice of color, stickers, glitter, etc.
