'The Big C': Susan Sarandon Runs A Joy Seminar, But Cathy Calls Bull (VIDEO)

'The Big C': Cathy Has No Joy For Susan Sarandon

Susan Sarandon certainly brought a sense of joy to the latest installment of "The Big C" (Sun., 10:30 p.m. ET on Showtime). On a whim, Cathy signed herself and Paul up for a weekend seminar where they would learn the art of joyology, funology and whatever other terms are defined by hauling around pink backpacks filled with rocks.

Cathy wasn't buying into any of it, and she was the first to ultimately call b.s. on the entire thing, throwing her backpack to the ground. But at that Joy Kleinman (Sarandon) declared that Cathy had finally gotten it. Throw off yesterday's baggage and embrace the future. From this point, with a dose of affirmation, Cathy suddenly did get into the experience. And she brought out of it a whole new sense of joy.

And a desire to have another baby. With her cancer still not completely gone and Paul's heart issues -- not to mention her age -- doesn't she realize how risky this would be? It seems like it was an impulsive decision, but Cathy's been acting on a lot of impulses lately, including getting a tattoo. Could the show actually start exploring this avenue?

Find out as "The Big C" continues Sundays at 10:30 p.m. ET on Showtime.
