WASHINGTON -- The Huffington Post sat down with White House Communications Director Dan Pfeiffer Tuesday for a live video discussion on the major topics of the day.

The issues covered ranged from the ongoing debate over federal student loan interest rates, to the recent defeat of the so-called Buffett rule, to the budget battles continually resurfacing in Congress. The subtext of it all was the nation's economy, where early signs of recovery this year have given way to renewed fears that growth will slow.

Dumb questions that got dumb answers. The questions do not touch the bottom line of the issues students face and much less the touch the real issues americans face.

The same line of questioning that makes the media so complicit with this corrupted system.

It will be interesting to note that the reason the rates are going to double is because the DEMOCRATS passed the law doubling them in 2007. The government take over of student loans with tax payer guarantees has been the main factor in the rise of college costs. AMEN!
Medicare (if ObamaCare stays in place) will be insolvent in 5 years. These students will be seeing a huge tax increase (including VAT tax) to cover medical costs for seniors. AMEN!
Potential jobs for graduates are rapidly disappearing due to the policies of dictator barry. AMEN!
This country and these students will be suffering the consequences of barry’s actions for decades after he has gone. AMEN!

But WHY are tuition rates so high? WHY does a liberal arts degree cost 150K? WHY do you and your parents have to scrimp and save and sacrifice and go into massive debt for a degree that likely won’t even get you an job interview let alone a job?

Why doesn't Obama defend himself and his policies more vigorously when clear slander is occurring on a daily bases. His is a lawyer and it is clearly against the law to publicly lie about someone. It has to stop because it is tearing our country apart. !!
