After Tumultuous First Year In Miami, LeBron James Returns Rejuvenated, Revitalized

Miami Heat's LeBron James (6) throws powder in the air at the start of a game with the Portland Trail Blazers Thursday, March 1, 2012.

Sports Illustrated:

Tranquil moments are few in the chaotic life of LeBron James. He steals them when he can, sitting on his patio in Coconut Grove, Fla., and admiring the waves on Biscayne Bay, biking across Rickenbacker Causeway with friends to Key Biscayne, watching basketball on television and flipping the channel when the announcers utter his name. Forward Shane Battier, in his first year with Miami, sounds as if he could lead a seminar at Duke deconstructing the James phenomenon.

I am one of the biggest sports fans in NEOHIO,in case you couldnt tell by my postingname, and I will even admit LeBron had a great season, noone else deserves the MVP more. When Wade was out,the Heat didnt miss a beat, because of LBJ.Another MVP for the choosen one(still too bad he didnt deceide to stay in Ohio)!

It's entertaining to read all of these rants from so-called basketball fans about James. Clearly, when hatred of a player renders common sense invisible, it's time to pull your "fan" status.
James is the most complete player in the league today, putting together a statistical season that rivals the best the game has seen in decades. When every other player in the league calls you out as the best player in the game, I'm quite certain some asinine blogger's comments aren't going to change that narrative.

Basketball is a game that cannot be won by one player. Jordan had Scottie, Wilt had Jerry, Russell had Hondo, Bird had McHale, Kareem had Magic, Kobe had Shaq, Robinson had Duncan, etc.

The list goes on and on.

Just another article to justify making Lebron the MVP of the league this season! Nothing except politics!

he's gonna need to be youthful vs. exciting OKC and their refreshing, entertaining run & gun style remedy to Miami's boring style of play.

I still maintain that LeBron is older than his "documents" show. What 19 year old looks like him at 19?? Documents can be fudged. That said, I just do not like LeBron. He is a show-off and not a team player.

If you think Lebron isn't a team player, you don't watch him play. He is too unselfish.

Clearly, you know very little about basketball if you perceive Bron as not being a team player.

Has Cleveland gotten over it yet? Hopefully some of those drama queens/kings are officially embarrassed by their over-reaction to an athlete playing out his option.

Will Miami win? If they get past Chicago maybe. Even if Miami win's James doesn't cement his name in legend. It will take at least another 6 to do that and time as well as statistics are not on his side. So he'll be another Malone, or Wilkins with a championship but he will never be a Jordan, Johnson, Chamberlin, O'neil, Rusell etc.........

Robert Horry has 5-6 rings, is he a legend? Chamberlain has 2. Barkley and Nash have 0. A pro ballers career can't just be measured by the number of rings he earned.

Having two of the best players in the NBA at his side and failing to win a championship last year effectively shut the door to any legend Status for him. Plain and simple.

They are gonna need to get by the Pacers first. The Pacers have the best record in the NBA in the month of April at 12 - 2 (playing Bulls right now as I type) and the second best record in the NBA since the all-star break. If the Pacers don't beat the Heat, they will take them to game 7 and by the time they get a chance to play the Bulls they will be spent. I honestly belive the Pacers could beat them. With the addition of David West and Leandro Barbosa this year the Pacers are much better. Roy Hibbert should be voted most improved player this year. Danny Granger finally has an outside shot from 3 land. They are a scrapy and tough team that will pound Miami.

You make a solid case for the Pacers. They could be the sleeper team of the EC, and duplicate what the Grizzlies did to the Spurs last year. I wouldn't be shocked if the beat the Heat, but I wouldn't bet money.

It's put up or shut up time for Mr. James. Let's see what he does. If past is present, he'll disappear come crunch time. If not, the Heat do have a very talented and deep squad. On paper, they have to be considered a favorite to win this year.

James has plenty of time to win a ring. He doesn't have to prove anything to anyone.

I did not know that he was back to the NBA games.

I would like to have a similar career he has.

Lebron needs to win something, anything, tiddleywinks. And Bill Russell never needed to be called "King"

Oscar Robertson, who averaged a triple-double with the Royals, didn't win a ring until the twilight of his career, thanks to Jabbar. Should he not have been heralded? Wilt didn't hadn't won a ring after his first 7-8 seasons. This is after the 100 point game, averaging 50.2/game in his third season and setting a bevy of records too numerous to mention. I suppose he shouldn't have been heralded also...Greatness is greatness. B-ball ain't tennis, whereby all a player needs to do is beat the one person on the other side of the net. Russell had more rings than Wilt, but he was not as good as Wilt, the best big man to ever lace up.
