Octomom Investigated: Police Investigate Child Neglect Claims Against Nadya Suleman

LA HABRA, Calif. — Police and California child welfare officials who visited Nadya Suleman's home after someone claimed that her 14 children were living in squalor say they did not find evidence that the children are in any danger.

La Habra police Sgt. Daniel Barnes says officers and Orange County Department of Family and Children's Services officials examined Suleman's home in Southern California on Tuesday and did not find anything unusual.

The entertainment news website TMZ.com says Suleman's hairstylist told police the house was a mess and there was only one working toilet in the home.

Barnes told City News Service that someone reported filth in the home.

The 36-year-old Suleman became known as Octomom after she gave birth to eight babies in January 2009. They are the world's longest-living octuplets.

There is something seriously wrong with her why would she openly discuss with her small children that she is going to pose nude.. What person in there right mind would do that.. Do what you do girl but don't tell your kids about it.. If you had to prostitute yourself to make money for your kids would you discuss that with them.. I would hope not.. Those poor kids need to be taken away and given to someone who could give them a good life they deserve a that much..

I am not bashing anyone......however I find it hard to believe that anyone can look after 14 kids without someone taking a backseat. You know something has to give in that situation. I saw her and the kids on Good Morning America and they were completely out of control. I feel bad for the kids.

this is an article about a "failed" child services visit after a "false alarm" was sounded by someone.

funny how many haters come here to post their dislike for this lady. No one blaming the F-ckd up doctor.

If I went through any of these haters expenses I guarantee you I'll find something I don't like or think is responsible spending. Have you seen all of her deposits? You all seem to put limits on her income, that she has "just $2,000" to spend? How judgemental are you?

The problem I have with this lady, besides being self centered enough to want so many of her offsprings, is that she's a single mom with a million kids and spends her money on things like in home hair stylist and obvious plastic surgery! That's very irresponsible and wrong.

That 'report' by the whistle blower to the police and DCF is just harassment. Leave the woman and her children in peace and stop trying to find 'evidence' of abuse. She made a mistake in having them but what are we gonna do? Force them back up her birth canal?

I don't think a lot of people understand how low the standards are for what is deamed "safe" by child protective services. If the children of school age are attending school, there is adequate food or a reasonable expectation that food can be obtained, running water and adequate warmth it is unlikely the children will be removed. Cleanliness is not a factor unless it includes a danger (like toxic mold, lice etc), unless a child has been physically harmed or had obvious signs of severe emotional abuse no other evaluation of the mental health of the children is made and even in the event that that does happen the children are not immediately removed. I think that when children are involved most would hope they are living well. I don't think people are hoping she will fail as much as its obvious she has mental health issues and as many have stated taking care of one child is difficult enough try 14 alone, while having (at best) some severe emotional problems. She said she had all these children because she wanted someone to love...she should've gotten a cat.

DR.PHIL actually donated a big house for her, her existing 8 children, 8 newborns, AND he donated a whole bunch of nannies and maids. i saw it on OPRAH and also on 20/20 . aparrently she had better ideas on parenting.. maybe when things get bad enough people will take this seriously instead of having a good chuckle at the freakish wonder that the entire thing is. that woman has the brains of a grapefruit , may mercey give her kids a chance .!

If he donated a big house then why isn't she in it?
the nannies I think from what I remember were there with an agenda. don't you remember that they said they were a non for profit organsation but there was a big of scandal about them. She fired them and I think that there agenda was not to just look after the kids but perhaps squeeze nadya out of the way.
