Women In Space

China is preparing to launch astronauts to a prototype space station for the first time, and the crew may include the first female Chinese astronaut, or taikonaut. If selected, the female crew members will join only 54 women that have made the journey into space. The mission, called Shenzhou 9, is expected to launch between June and August 2012.
