Comedian-actor Martin Lawrence has officially called it quits with his wife Shamicka Gibbs.
According to a joint statement obtained by People.com, the former couple has made a “joint decision” to end their two year marriage. "Out of love and respect for one another we will continue to remain friends and raise our two beautiful daughters together,” the statement read.
The “Big Momma’s House” star and Gibbs dated for 15 years prior to tying the knot in July 2010 at their home in Beverly Hills. This marked Lawrence’s second marriage, who was previously married to Patricia Southall.
