Royal Anniversary: Will Prince William And Kate Middleton's Marriage Last?

Sunday marks the one year anniversary of Prince William and Kate Middleton's wedding, and while we're certainly rooting for the royal couple, we can't help but wonder: will they last?

After all, William's father, Prince Charles, was said to have strayed in his 11-year marriage to Princess Diana before they split in 1992. And it can't be easy for the young couple to withstand intense scrutiny from the royal family and the public.

I think the article is rather absurd, but I see a bigger issue with the way the article is written. Prince William' wife, Catherine, has made it clear she does not want her name shortened to Kate.

I introduce myself as Patrica. It astonishes me the number of people who will then refer to me as Pat. I correct people and say my name is Patricia and those who are rude enough to ignore my preference are ignored.

This article is unbalanced. It seems to focus on the fact that William's parents had a less-than-perfect relationship that ended in a spectacularly acrimonious divorce. However, the author(s) seem to be forgetting about the other set of 'in-laws' .... the Middletons. Michael and Carole have been married for over 30 years and remain so to this day. If you're going to somehow predict the future of the royal marriage based on what happened to William's parents, then you need to take into account the history of Catherine's parents as well.

I for one believe that is none of your business, it is smelling of speculation that secretly you hope they will, which in turn seems to me that the questioner means them nothing good, which in my
opinion is evil.
Leave them alone and get on with your own smutty lives, that should keep you busy till the end of your own dull existence.

This is a stupid question but I will respond only because of the pity I felt for both Diana and Charles. I Diana was a very young woman and Charles was forced to live a very scripted life so his options were extremely limited. Thankfully William was able to marry someone he loves and admires.

Sounds like an evil, cheap and malicious question for a headline, pregnant with "between the lines" wish for a sensational divorce, unfit for the HP, which is not some sleazy tabloid, and needs to keep the niveau high.

But, of course, it is a legitimate question which many of us entertain and even talk about, sadly though.

' legitimate question? Really? This young couple have been together for over 10 years prior to marriage. And HRH Prince William thought long and hard prior to asking Kate for marriage KNOWING full well what his mother went through. A 'legitimate question' - I hardly think so.
