We've all sat and watched shapes appear in the clouds, but have you ever seen them appear in lightning?

Cassandra C. Jones uses found digital photos of powerful storms and uses the jagged streaks of light across the sky to create her own shapes. We have to warn you: often these shapes take the form of adorable animals. Jones' remixed landscapes capture the connectedness of both the web and the night sky, making us realize how much can be done through these digital collages. We'll never look at lightning the same way again.
Jones' collages are on view at Eli Ridgway Gallery in San Francisco until May 19, 2012.
