Elise Testone On 'American Idol' Elimination: Singer Doesn't Regret Jimi Hendrix Song Choice (VIDEO)

Eliminated Elise Testone Doesn't Regret 'Idol' Song Choice

The morning after Elise Testone was voted off "American Idol," the singer stopped by "GDLA" (weekdays, 7 a.m. PT on Fox) to look back at her time on the competition.

Testone took some criticism from "Idol" judges Randy Jackson and Steven Tyler about her decision to sing Jimi Hendrix's "Bold As Love" on Wednesday night, but the soulful singer doesn't regret the choice. "I don't think so, I'm sorry. I really don't. I don't think so at all," she said.

While Testone felt that the song was true to her voice as an artist, it probably wasn't the best choice for the "Idol" audience. HuffPost TV's Laura Prudom agreed, writing that, "the 'Idol' machine never seemed like a perfect fit for her graveled, soulful authenticity."
