MIT Makes Wooden Cell Phone (PHOTOS)

Think you can't make a cell phone out of wood? Think again!

The people at the MIT media lab have created a DIY cell phone, for those of you so inclined. The device has a large wooden case and gigantic buttons. It takes a regular sim card, and it also texts and makes calls. What more could you need? (Siri does not count).

Want one? For about $100-$150 dollars, you can purchase/make one of your own.

MIT hopes, "the project will help us explore and expand the limits of do-it-yourself (DIY) practice." Cool!
