Police Crack Down On Rowdy Meatpacking Club Crowd

GREENWICH VILLAGE -- The stiletto-wearing crowds that teeter home from Meatpacking District clubs may soon find themselves accessorizing with handcuffs if they don't quiet down.

Sixth Precinct police have picked up patrols in the area after a rise in complaints about noise, fights and public urination in the industrial zone turned nightlife destination. And they're promising to crackdown on quality of life crimes.
