WASHINGTON-- Hollywood A-listers swarmed the nation's capital this weekend for Saturday night's 92nd White House Correspondents' Dinner.

Before the annual event, which former Rep. Jane Harman (D-Calif.) described to HuffPost as "the Academy Awards of Washington," celebrities, along with political and media figures, gathered at Tammy Haddad's signature Garden Brunch.

HuffPost's Christina Wilkie caught up with Arianna, "Glee" star Matthew Morrison, Kerry Washington, who stars in the ABC drama "Scandal," and other big names on Saturday. Check out what they had to say in the video above.

To sarah K: The quality of the questions, the light flare that washed out the video, the kind of cheeky ET flavor of the thing. If the huffpo is trying to leverage their site to create and distro video content they should hire great field producers like myself and others to plan, capture and edit it. It just seems with all the faces and names who roamed by the camera during a fun political event, that a huge opportunity was wasted -- and instead it felt like b-team on the red carpet. With the same resources and a better planned approach you could really find value in these shoots re-purposive them over your platform in multiples. I like the huffpo nd realize this is a new endeavor. Just remember, this is the new world, the golden age for the huffpo when it comes to creating video content -- and there are no rules.

Why were the Kardashians there? And Lohan? Why? If they can go, I don't see why I couldn't get an invite...

I consider the attendance of kim k. and her mom a step up from last year when winky and abs.tinence winky jr. attended.

The more I think about the White House correspondents dinner being celebrity filled... well, it stands to reason why so many celebrities would be present.

Media's relaying of the news has become little more than entertainment and mostly fluf, anyway.

Were donations for local food banks and homeless shelters collected at the door or would that have been too tacky?!

Not even a "bring a canned good?"

No, but I think this is a charity event, with money donations being made.

How many times does it have to be said? Who in the hell cares about the opinions of a bunch of celebrities, most if whom never graduated college? They make a huge amount of money, they are adored by equally uneducated Americans who put totally unrealistic faith in the political opinions of these posers, and unfortunately, their influence with the American public requires our President to suck up to them so that their fans will utimately cast their votes for him.

You care, you obviously do. You seem to know every reason why these things happen, who attends and what type of education they have. You obviously pay so much attention you've even figured out the reason why. Who care, you do.

That type of affair will never call on anyone close to Colbert again.

Real truth to power is not ever spoken and certainly not in public.

I, for one, loved what Colbert had to say. No one will ever top him!

The audience was lame as usual. I like to think that the jokes are for us not the folks in the room who are the butt of them.

So unpresidential. Can't wait until Romney is in office and holds the prestige of what it is to be president. No more parties and lavish vacays.
10:17 PM on 04/28/2012
LOL Right because GW never held the white house correspondence dinner - which raises money for charity by the way.
12:16 AM on 04/29/2012
The difference is that these things used to be entertaining. They are now just hollywood parties. They are no longer about the press. Besides this one was so dull and boring. Sounded more like a bunch of snarky campaign remarks.

It has been going on for almost 100 years. Didn't hear a peep from the wing nuts when the President looked like them. So sad they are funny.
