Most recently Janet wrote about some of her favorite shoe storage solutions, and we were impressed by her idea for using strips of molding to organize her heels on a wall. Naturally, we turned to her book and found the how-to. Scroll down for an excerpt about this very inventive project.

If you're a die-hard shoe girl, you hate hiding your cherished pairs behind closed doors. Here's a chance to display your traffic-stopping sling-backs and pumps as revolving personal art on a wall. Use decorative wood molding, paint it a bright glossy color, and hang your high-heeled beauties for everyone to admire on this sassy shoe bar.
Quick Tip #1: Clear adhesive rubber bumper pads keep heels from sliding off the shoe bar. Stick pads on top of the wooden bar where the backs of the heels hang.
Quick Tip #2: Lumberyards will precut molding for you at no extra cost. Don't be afraid to ask.
Janet's Note: The wood molding can be substituted with polyurethane strips as well.
