There's more than one way to have a good time with Fun.'s "We Are Young."
Recently, The Huffington Post reported on a parody of the band's hit that pokes fun at Generation X. While this video by MysteryGuitarMan Joe Penna doesn't have a laugh at anyone's expense, it's incredibly entertaining right down to the final punchline.
To make the film, the production team mapped four phones over a large format video which were then synchronized and filmed from a ceiling mounted camera, as explained in a behind-the-scenes feature.
Sound simple enough? Wrong.
While the technical side of production definitely required some attention to detail, it would appear that the most intricate -- and the most frustrating -- part of the making of the video was the choreography of rearranging the devices in time with an acoustic guitar rendition of the chart-topping song.
After 238 takes, they finally nailed it. Naturally, YouTube commenters lauded the team for its patience. "I would go crazy after take five," one noted.
