Li Li The Celebrity 'Bike Hugging Dog' From China Closer To Getting Dream Bike Seat (VIDEO)

Dog Hugging Bike China Li Li

One loyal dog from China is hopefully getting a pimped-out new ride thanks to a generous blogger who set up a fundraising site for the pooch, a Golden Retriever named Li Li, well-known in her hometown of Nanning for guarding and riding on the back of her owner's bike.

Jeff, an expat living in Bangkok, started the blog "Pimp My Seat" to share a video that his girlfriend took of Li Li, which garnered thousands of views on YouTube as well as concern from users who thought the bike was unsafe.

"When I saw people complaining about the safety of the dog on the bike, I decided to act. I threw this site together and now I am soliciting ideas and suggestions on how we can help our beloved friend," Jeff wrote today on "Pimp My Seat," adding that any extra donations he receives will go to the dog's owner and local charities.

On the site, Jeff is also posting design concepts for safe, dog-friendly bike seats.

"My goal is too empower everyone back home and show that by a small donation you can directly affect other people's lives," Jeff wrote.

Check out the video of Li Li above. Anyone wishing to donate to the pooch's new ride can visit "Pimp My Seat."

Its fun cool when a doggie does something what to humans is supernatural.
But...think about it folks...its really a dangerous situation for the dog
if the rider should fall and the doggie gets possiblty hurt by a car or just falls..
I see lots of owners..riding with their dogs at their side. You have to be a great rider
to hold a leash and handlebar...and even the greatest of riders
get into situations that can affect their stability while riding...The dogs then get
hurt by the moving spokes in the wheels or pedals or chain and wheel..

There is just too much stupitdy out their when it comes to dogs and cats too.

Incredible a dog protecting his master bike. Animals have more sense than some humans.

To all the people making comments about Obama or Romney on this article, can't you just enjoy a nice video? Do you have to bring up political attacks at every chance possible? Just relax for a bit every once in a while.

The dog let owner know it's safe to bike "woof, let's go" after he climbed on back and he looked happy. Retrievers are truly the brightest but I hope he stays safe and not be treated cruelly by humans.

That dog looks at that bike like a conservative looks at governing yet neither can make it work!

Considering that "dog" is a food dish in China, this is surprising...

I wonder if Pres. Obama knows any recipes.

Pet ownership is growing exponentially in China these days. Dogs are becoming very common as pets in urbanized eastern China.

I could watch this video all day long.

I love how the dog "hugs" the bike- clearly she loves that bike, and is also protecting it.

Then the woof- "I'm ready Dad!"

Best part was the "Let's go!" bark.
