Teresa Stone Pleads Guilty To Planning Her Husband's Murder With David Love, Her Church Pastor

INDEPENDENCE, Mo. (AP) – A Missouri woman has admitted helping plan her husband's murder with her lover, who was also her church pastor.

Teresa Stone, 40, pleaded guilty Monday to conspiracy to commit murder in the March 2010 shooting death of Randy Stone of Independence. Stone entered the plea with the understanding that her maximum sentence would be 10 years, officials said.

Teresa Stone remains free on bond while awaiting sentencing, which Jackson County Circuit Court Judge Marco Roldan scheduled for June 15.

Prosecutors accused Stone of conspiring with her minister, David Love, who is serving a life prison sentence after admitting he shot Randy Stone to death. Love pleaded guilty to second-degree murder and armed criminal action.

Love once was the pastor of New Hope Baptist Church in Independence and delivered part of Randy Stone's eulogy. He moved to South Carolina not long after Stone's death and was arrested there in November 2010 after a Jackson County grand jury indicted him on charges of first-degree murder and armed criminal action.

During the proceeding Monday in Jackson County Court, Teresa Stone didn't offer any explanations for the slaying but grew emotional when she admitted, while answering questions from her lawyer, that she helped plan her husband's murder.

Randy Stone's mother, Clara Koehler, said later that watching Stone admit her role was difficult.

"It was hard, a whole lot harder than it was with David (Love), but that's probably because Teresa was my daughter-in-law," she said.

I know what Teresa Stone & Brother Love did was completely wrong, but I was a Farmer's Insurance agent in Randy Stone's district and I think people deserve to know he was unethical and not a good person. Most agents in that district disliked him because he was shady. I just don't like to read articles that portray him as a great, religious, and upstanding member of the Independence community when he regularly cheated on Teresa and was not a caring husband. Again I believe he in no way deserved this, but both sides of the story should be told.

Her husband had an insurance policy totaling approximately 800,000. It is speculated that money was one of her motives. She was not aware that her husband had removed her name as the beneficiary and replaced it with their two sons names back in 2005.

Jesus said follow me...not them. Imperfect leaders some of which commit egregious errors are not an excuse to denounce Christianity all together. Saying that you want nothing to do with Christianity because of stories like this is a cop out.

I definitely believe in God but this is yet another reason why church is wrong

This is extreme, obviously, but if you're suggesting that Christians do bad things, then yes.

The fall of a Baptist denomination; so that means 38,000 Christian denominations are now 37,999? ;) Denominations will continue to increase due to the many interpretations of scripture.

Religious leaders are no different than the people they preach against. They are hypocrites.

Why is she free on bond? Is that common for convicted murderers in this country? As if we can be so sure she will not commit another crime.

I guess this Baptist pastor would feel at home at the Westboro Baptist Church. Celebrating the deaths of US soldiers.

What is this world coming to folks? Just to think that a man who would stand behind the pulpit and preach the gospel of the Lord, Jesus Christ, would do the things like that. It only proves that there is no limit to what those will do when their connection is to the wrong source...meaning when they're truly connected to the one in charge of the bottomless pit, Satan himself. Two people's life totally destroyed, in fact, would've been better had they never been born, all because they were being connected to the wrong source, and pretending to be people of the Living God. So, what about you of whom may be reading this...Is your connection correct? If you're not connected to the Lord Jesus, or truly been born again, not of correctable seed but none corruptible...then as you read this...He's truly standing by give him a call today...before you, yourself fall into one of his many destructible devices.

WOW!
First he cheats with his wife, then, he kills the guy, then gives his eulogy? .
A true man of the cloth ...right? Hypocracy thy name is mankind.

Amazing what people are capable of these days.
How could he stand in the church....giving the eulogy with a straight face?
The guy has to be a sociopath. The wife too. She had to be sitting there listening.

Sure hope they enjoy prison time, which for her was way to short a sentence. .
