Evelyn Is a hatter! She should of kept 100 and been there for her friend Jennifer when she was going thru the divorce! Evelyn was the one pushing the issue about Jen filing for divorce for her husband never been around or answering his phone! Evelyn started the fight with Jen because Evelyn had stated she will never date the kind of men that they date! She didn't think she was gonna get Chad! Now the bi@$& is acting like a fool!

I'll will not sign this petition. There is a lot worst on tv that goes beyond Evelyn I like her and she has always had jen back, Funny how it was not an issue when Evelyn was fighting for jen and had her back. Was it right evelyn fighting no it was not. But I see how phony Jen is. How come she did not press charges against eric with that drink he threw in her face Hard!!!! If anyone should have been protesting anything it should have been season one of basketball wives of LA, Love and hip hop plus mob wives they are vile and disgusting. Evelyn looks like a princess compared to them. If you have been watching since season one like I have. You should see right thur phony Jen.

I've been watching since season 1 too. The one thats phony is evelyn. She is fake and I will sign this petition too. She thinks Chad is gonna have babies with her! She want child support money! She turned on Jennifer and antoine walker when they both needed her! She is bi@$& and that's the bottom line! I was a huge fan of the show and ever since they brought that drag looking Tami in, it was over!

Both of Evelyn's parents look HISPANIC. Unlike Halle, who's has a black dad, Evelyn does not. Her parents do not look "black" therefore, Evelyn is NOT black.

Many Hispanic people have black blood in them BUT that does not equate to being "black".

I agree, her behavior is definitely unbecoming. However, what I've noticed is that on television/media a number of actresses can 'pass' for 'either'/'or'. If that actress displays untoward behavior, she will be classified as 'Black' in various news outlets for as long as that behavior dominates. If that same actress has a 'good girl' image she will be embraced as multicultural...anything BUT Black. Take Evelyn for example, I don't know her ethnic lineage, but let's say she is of both Black and White Latina. Her infamous belligerent personality has her here in "Black Voices". And most who are unfamiliar with her probably believe her to be Black. Once she marries Chad (if she hasn't done so already), and does a couple of 'positive' PR stunts, things will simmer down and she will be covered under "Latino Voices"...or given a 'title' encompassing her possible multiethnicity.

I've never seen Basketball Wives. I rarely watch TV. Maybe that's why I don't get the outrage. TV has always been a vast wasteland. The advent of "reality" TV has made it even worse. Is this woman really that bad, isn't she just basically playing a role. Reality TV isn't real, is it?

Here is another approach. Produce the shows that one would like to see. No one appears to be interested in producing these shows with these realistic and strong and sensible Black women.

yes, she behaves badly, but i disagree with the fact that her actions reflect on an entire community when really, they reflect badly on her. as a black woman, i don't take responsibility for her actions because 1) she isn't me, 2) i've never acted the way she acts, and 3) just because she's marrying black doesn't make her black (clearly she's latino). this article should really be on latino voices. why aren't people claiming that she's making latino women look bad? on the one hand, blacks are upset when they are painted with such a broad stroke, but at the same time, paint themselves with that same brush. yes, she's disgraceful, but really, she doesn't represent an entire community of anything.

I like the fact that someone is deciding to take a stand about how our people are portrayed on television. The real test will be if VH1 does green light Evelyn's show, if no one watches. It'll get cancelled with the quickness. And if the lady who started the boycott can actually get major companies not to advertise on it, then VH1 might pull the plug on the show before it even hits the airwaves.
