Bristol Palin: 'There's Something Even Better' Than Being A Palin

In a new blog post, Bristol Palin reflects on her identity - as a single mother, a Palin and a child of God. She writes:

Many times, people try to define me by my parents. I am Republican Sarah Palin’s daughter. Or, here in Alaska, I am Iron Dog champion Todd Palin’s kid. This is true – and I’m so proud of my family and my parents! But, there’s something even better.

Bristol goes on to talk about the struggles and rewards of being a single mom to son Tripp, 3, and reveal what the "something even better is":

But my true spiritual identity is even better than proudly wearing the last name of “Palin.” How much better is it that I’m a child of God?

In other words, I’m not so much a “Christian SINGLE PARENT,” I am a CHRISTIAN who for the time being is a single parent. Being a single mom is my situation, not my identity.

Tripp's father is Levi Johnston, who is expecting his second child with his new girlfriend. Bristol was "upset" to hear Levi will be a father again, and after news of the baby's name broke she shared a photo of Tripp on Facebook.

Really? If she were JUST LIKE EVERY SINGLE ONE OF US, we wouldn't be reading her nonsensical, stupid views all the time. If she doesn't want to be made fun of she should stay out of public life. No surprise. A nice story about one girl's spiritual journey and all the mean-spirited slobs come out of the woodwork to insult and humiliate her.

Bristol, you are a great role model for girls and young women. Your son is lucky to have you as his mother and the entire Palin clan as extended family. He will grow up to be a fine man and a credit to the Palins.

Bristol, I know you have learned to ignore the haters, You should know that all decent people are rooting for you to lead a happy, fulfilling life. Bless you!

Oh yea, she uses a religious reference and she is on a spiritual journey. Much like everyone who is caught in a compromised situation.....they find God.

Her spiritual journey - getting drunk and having premarital sex with a backwoods snowbilly, out of wedlock pregnancy, airing her tawdry teen relationship drama for public consumption, capitalizing on these achievements for the sake of profit (Dancing with the "Stars", book deals, blogging/social media). All this and with only a high school diploma under her belt - amazing! Above all, she wants to be identified first and foremost as a CHRISTIAN. Truly, she is indeed an inspiring role model. Parents out there should encourage their daughters to follow in her footsteps.
