Don't you hate how few awards shows we can enjoy year round? So did Comedy Central. But unlike you, they have the power to snap their fingers and bring one into existence out of thin air.
And snap their fingers they did -- for the second year in a row, they held The Comedy Awards in New York City, honoring and celebrating the best in film, TV, stand-up and other comedy from the last year. They also gave Don Rickles and Robin Williams special lifetime achievement awards, recognizing their lives in comedy.
Although the winners have already been announced, you can watch the awards this Saturday evening on Comedy Central. But the real fun was seeing so many stars of the world of comedy all in one place.
HuffPost Comedy was there, too, and we were lucky enough to nab interviews with several of them. We chatted with Robin Williams, Reggie Watts, Andy Richter, Questlove, the cast of "The Daily Show," Randall (the Honey Badger dude) and more before the show started, and they were all delights. Enjoy!
The awards will air on May 6 at 9 p.m., and you can still vote for the Viewers Choice categories on the official website.
Interviews conducted by Carol Hartsell, Ross Luippold and Katla McGlynn. Video produced by Ross Luippold.
