WSJ:

What if God was an analyst?

Earlier this week on MarketWatch, I looked at how scripture is used to reinforce, justify or vilify economic activity from taxation to bank fees.

Personal opinion?

Wall Street and the Big Bankers better pray there is no God.

Cause if there is?

Judgement day is gonna be a big surprise for most of them.

A very unpleasant surprise...................assuming justice is finally served.

Any person with more than 2 neurons can see that Jesus was not talking about money.

Do you want to know what he think about money and rich people?

Timothy 6:10
"For the love of money is the root of all evil: which while some coveted after, they have erred from the faith, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows."

Matthew 19:24
"Again I tell you, it is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than for a rich person to enter the kingdom of God."

What about Matthew 19:24 and Timothy 6:10?

god knocked up a poor carpenter's wife, convinced the locals that it was a virgin birth, and then threw his illegitimate son under the bus when he turned out to be a liberal...

good, strong Republican CEO core values....

If he existed no. If the seven deadly sins were they would all be dead! And what did jesus say about a rich man getting into heaven and a camel passing through the eye of a needle? They would never get to meet god in any case! Oh the tangled webs of BS we weave!

Expectations for sin, heck yes.

Wall Street is the epitome of greed, pride, lust and envy. There's probably quite a bit of gluttony too since WS players are about the only ones who can afford it.

As for wrath, didn't they used to say that Dick Fuld was like a gorilla in a suit?

Yes, I'd say they fulfill all of God's expectation for the vices of men.

Read Matthew 19:24 and Timothy 6:10. It just say that.

They seem to be working diligently towards a loaf of bread costing a days wages. Fulfilling the the prophecies of revelations through their greed is about as biblical as they will ever get.

This article is a bit of a stretch regardless of which side politics you are on. If you are a trader or investor, it's part of your job ... nothing more, nothing less.
