Jim Pendergraph Goes Birther With Joe Arpaio Support

A Republican congressional candidate has the support of Arizona Sheriff Joe Arpaio -- and shares his doubts about President Obama's birth certificate.

“I have reason to be suspicious,” Jim Pendergraph told the Charlotte Observer. “But I don’t know. I haven’t seen the facts. I think there’s a lot of smoke and generally when there’s smoke there’s got to be fire somewhere.”

Pendergraph, a former sheriff, is running in North Carolina's 9th Congressional district, and Arpaio appeared with him Saturday at a campaign event in Lancaster, N.C. The two men described each other as friends, according to HispanicBusiness.com, and praised each others' hard-line views towards immigration.

Arpaio also took questions about his team's investigation into the authenticity of Obama's birth certificate, a project he has described as a "favor" to the president. He repeated the group's findings that the document has been forged, a notion Pendergraph is willing to entertain.

"I've been around long enough to know people can forge anything," the candidate told the Observer.

Protestors attended the event Saturday holding signs reading “hate is not welcomed here," according to local outlet WCNC.com.

Self destruction seems to be the Republicans demonstration of a foregone conclusion that things are better for them and their one percenters in the hands of the likes of Sheriff Arpaio, Ken Bennett, their esteemed real estate tycoon, their radio god, Rush Limbaugh and others. The question is whether they are searching for God's heaven, or some non-existent fools paradise. Either way, they lose but a fool and his money will quicker sink an already sinking ship.

The same people who sent Joseph Arpaio their findings (The Justice Department) are guilty of not enforcing the law of the U.S. Code) however, it has been changed so much one cannot tell what it says any longer. However, this is pay back time for the Sheriff because members of the Tea Party had asked him (from what I understand of earlier reports) to investigate Obama's birth certificate which has said to be computer generated. Nothing here, but sheer retailation, and as far as the head of the U. S. Justice Department, he is in violation himself. Why Congress continues to allow all of this to continue is beyond my imagination. What a disgrace. If Obama and his crew of crooks get elected to the office of President again what a disaster for our country.

The “Birthers” and Arpaio have proffered credible, but inconclusive, evidence that Obama’s LFBC is forged. Obama sycophants claim the “evidence” of the Birthers has been “debunked”. It should be realized that debunking by “experts” examining only the digital file can have no more credibility than examination of only the digital file which concludes forgery. The larger problem is the debunking “evidence” is either pure demagoguery, or lacking in conclusive substance.

The controversy over the LFBC is kept alive for one and only one reason: The refusal of Obama to release a hard copy document.

With hard copy, forensic science could resolve the controversy to the satisfaction of the vast majority of advocates on either side.

One recalls the Sherlock Holmes’ short story “Silver Blaze”: “The dog that didn't bark”, an expression from that story, was the clue that solved the case. The murderer had been able to enter and leave the estate grounds without the guard dog barking. From this non-event Holmes concluded the dog must have known the killer which led him to identify the murderer.

One must wonder: “What about the ‘non-event’ of Obama releasing a hard copy of his LFBC for forensic examination?”

If the released copy is not a forgery and accurately portrays the original LFBC, privacy can no longer be a valid issue. Since 4/27/11, for what plausible reason has Obama gone to considerable lengths and legal expense to deny public access to hard copy records of his LFBC?

“Credible evidence?” The use of “credible” is of course subjective. If no one thought the evidence “credible”, there would be no controversy. Obviously “Birthers” believe the evidence is credible, as do I. Credible does not mean conclusive, however.

“What qualified investigator …?” I did not use the term “qualified investigator”. Whether or not an investigator is “qualified” is also subjective. As to such a claim, you need look no further than the title of the Post: Arpaio & Pendergraph. There are hundreds of others as well which can be easily discovered on the Internet: Jerome Corsi, Carl Denninger Douglas Vogt to name just a few.

What, exactly, has President Obama done "to deny public access to hard copy records of his LFBC?" Everything necessary to keep it out of the public domain as evidenced by the fact it has not been released.

“Now about that first paragraph…” This is obviously my opinion. Your challenge again misses my point. The Obama supporters in this controversy seem convinced that every word that they utter is irrefutable fact, while any words uttered by the opposition are completely unsupportable nonsense. On both sides we are hearing opinion based on inconclusive “evidence”. The resolution of this dilemma is for Obama to release the hard copy for forensic examination. What is so difficult to understand about that?
