Have Lindsay Lohan and Samantha Ronson rekindled their romance?
The former couple, who were known for their dramatic arguments, were spotted together last night, at New York night club Le Baron, reports X17Online.
"Lindsay and Sam were whispering and laughing and they left the club holding hands. They didn't care who saw them, and they definitely seem to be back on. It was just like the old days -- they couldn't get enough of each other!" an insider told the website.
Lohan and Ronson began dating in 2007, but denied they were anything more than friends for more than a year before finally admitting they were a couple. In September 2008, Ronson called into the radio show "Loveline" and after answering a few questions she handed the phone to Lohan, who admitted the two had been dating for "a very long time."
But even after the two "came out" on "Loveline," Lohan was still hesitant to talk about Ronson. "I think it's pretty obvious who I'm seeing," Lohan told Harper's Bazaar in November 2008, after much prodding. "I think it's no shock to anyone that it's been going on for quite some time... She's a wonderful person and I love her very much."
The couple first called it quits in April 2009 and Lohan confirmed to E! News, "We are taking a brief break so I can focus on myself." The breakup was actually quite public and played out on Twitter, with Lohan Tweeting at Ronson, "I'm doing this publicly because you and your friends call People magazine... so, you win. You broke my heart. Now go away. I loved you."
Lohan and Ronson were rumored to have patched things up in 2010, but things didn't work out. In August 2010, Ronson told the Times magazine, "I love her as a human being. I'm not gonna sit here and negate everything we had. You know, I could have a thousand times countered sh*t with facts. It's just not for me."
The ladies are the very definition of an on-again-off-again couple. In 2011, flirtatious Twitter messages to each other written the day after Valentine's Day confirmed they shared a romantic meal, and later Ronson went one step further to confirm their relationship status, tweeting, "watching grey's anatomy-my fav show-@lindsaylohan sleeping next 2 me- should i wake her up to let her know her mom is going on GMA?"
Lohan and Ronson clearly have a long history of trying to pick up where they left off, but now that Lohan is free of her legal troubles and trying to get her career back on track, the couple could be trying to make it work for good this time.
