Comedian Kevin Hart returned to "Modern Family" (Wed., 9 p.m. ET on ABC) as Phil's friend Andre. He convinced Phil to buy a convertible instead of the sensible car he'd intended to purchase, and then literally ran away after watching Claire not blink once upon finding out.
Claire didn't admit to being angry about it, and even learned an appreciation for the car after blowing off her errands and heading for the beach. Of course, they couldn't keep the car, but it was nice to see Clair cut back and relax for a moment.
Relaxation was the last thing going on with Cam and Mitchell after they lost Lily's stuffed bunny on a subway train. They spent the episode trying to recover the rabbit, while Jay spent the episode trying to get to a reunion with some of his old football buddies, where he hoped to show off Gloria. Both stories saw their struggles, with the guys ultimately deciding Lily would have to learn to accept loss after a homeless person blew his nose on the rabbit.
As for Gloria, she fought Jay every step of the way on their troubled journey, until he admitted he hadn't been the big-shot he boasted and was wanting to show off his beautiful wife. Being shown off was something Gloria could get behind.
