China's Cyber-Intrusions Of Concern, Says Hillary Clinton

Reuters  |  Posted: 05/04/2012 6:24 am Updated: 05/04/2012 7:47 am

BEIJING (Reuters) - The United States expressed growing concern over cyber-intrusions globally during talks with Chinese leaders, the U.S. secretary of state said on Friday.

Hillary Clinton, in Beijing for the annual Strategic and Economic Dialogue with Chinese leaders, said that China and the United States must develop shared norms on cyber issues.

She expressed concern about "the theft of intellectual property and commercial data by cyber means."

Security experts in the United States have warned of a rising number of Internet-based attacks originating from China on U.S. corporate and government computers.

Clinton also said that she had raised human rights issues in the talks with Chinese leaders, which ended on Friday.

We should "give" them a computer virus when they try an attack , intrusion on our computer systems .
And we should be able to isolate any one who attemps to break into our systems .

I hope we're not so stupid as to why their doing it..They are peeking and probing to find our weakness in case of an attack..NEVER TRUST THE CHINESE!

I don't trust China one bit. They would just love to be able to wipe us out and start all over on our beautiful, spacious and fertile land. Their government has hacked CIA computers for years. When will our leaders finally see this as an act of aggression and a threat to our national security. Any country that does not allow freedom of speech or expression should have their reset button pressed.

Our Country won't bother China since that is where Obama barrowed all the money from!

"Look at what we did to the Native Americans! Surely everyone else will jump at the chance to do exactly the same to us!"

Cyber Intrusion is an ACT OF WAR, and should be treated and dealt with as such!

Wow, do you mean the Chinese ( who manufacture almost all of our electronics and high-tech equipment..) are acting like a bunch of Communist thugs and corrupting all our national computer networks?
Who could have foreseen that would happen? Maybe we could "offshore" our military and then have Indian tele-marketers maintain it?

You don't have to have a war with an enemy. The Cold War never ended. The players have merely changed and in some cases, the facades have changed.....Soviet Union, Russian Federation = Little difference. Something tells me you were not alive during the Cold War.

I spent 41 years in the military and I can almost assure you we will be fighting with China. But please read Carl Sagan's " Nuclear Winter."

China has always shown that international laws do not apply to what they do to other countries but insist that other countries live up to the laws that they disregard.

The Chinese government seems to go against what is good for every part of the country this includes doing things to intentionally hurt the environment and its citizens.
