Thomas Boersma So Drunk, He Doesn't Remember Being Hit By Freight Train: Cops

Drunk Man Doesn't Remember Being Hit By Freight Train: Cops

Sometimes you wake up and life kicks you in the butt. Other times, a freight train does.

Nobody knows that better than Thomas Boersma of Wisconsin, who allegedly got so drunk that he fell asleep on some train tracks and got hit in the butt.

Cops said Boersma was so sauced, he didn't even remember the incident.

The freight train's conductor told cops that he saw something on the rails near the Village of Pewaukee at about 3:30 a.m., and immediately slammed on the brake, according to the Living Lake Country Reporter.

Boersma, 31, was leaning against the rail with his back to the train. He didn't move a muscle.

The conductor found him lying on the gravel nearby, with a severe injury to his buttocks and left arm, WSAU reported. Shockingly, he refused medical attention.

Cops said they regularly find Boersma walking on the tracks, so they cited him for trespassing after the incident.

The train had reportedly been traveling at 48 mph when it struck him.
