Food Book Fair

Price: $15 per panel
Head over to the newly opened and much hyped about Wythe Hotel for the first event of its kind, bringing together food publications from around the world to discuss the world of food writing, food art, and plenty more.

Fashion in Film Festival
Where: Museum of the Moving Image, 36-01 35th Avenue, Queens; (718) 777-6888
When: Starts Friday
Price: $12
The Museum of the Moving Image presents "If Looks Could Kill," an exploration of cinema, television, crime, fashion, and more from genres including film noir and gangster movies. This weekend, watch screenings of "Casino," "The Color of Nothingness," "Asphalt," "Desire," "The Tenth Victim," and "American Gigolo."

Brooklyn Derby

Racing takes a back seat and mint juleps, live music, games, and much more become the main attraction at the 9th Annual Brooklyn Derby. Of course, the race will be dutifully aired followed by Brooklyn Derby's very own cavalcade of the best in hats.

Feist
Where: Radio City Music Hall

Price: $40-$50
Join songstress Feist as she takes to the stage at Radio City to play the best from her latest album, "Metals," with special guests Timber Timbre.

Cinco de Chipo

Looking for an alternative to your standard margs and guac this Cinco de Mayo? Union Hall is hosting a chiptune dance party with much electronic music and even a station to play video games will last you the night.

Derby Party at a Smokehouse

Jonathan Toubin Welcome Back Party

Celebrate the homecoming of DJ Jonathan Toubin who is finally back from Portland after suffering injuries from a freak car accident while on tour in December. Friends of the DJ, well-wishers, and fans of Toubin's popular New York Night Trainparties will all be present for the free event.
