Well Bill, if you're going to share the pain, get that good high buck proctologist out for when we shove Jerry's tax up his backside.

Jerry and Bill were exchanging interns phone numbers that were in their black books.

Jerry Brown's budget "plan"? You mean spend even more on constituencies with money confiscated by productive members of society.

Calofornia's course shal certainly cause it's default. Shall those of us living in the other 49 states give them our hard-earned money as a reward for their own decisions?

I say no. Let them fail. Only then will the lesson of Liberty be understood by this wayward electorate.

You're like... kidding right? What state do you live in? California gets less money back from taxes sent to the feds than any other state. Now I dissagree with a lot of what the California does and doesn't do, but to whine that WE suck on other states? Half the states in this country are subsidized by California. You can take that fancy icon of yours and shove it.

Clinton signed NAFTA which lost the US millions of high paying jobs and dumped US subsidized corn on Mexico ruining the lives of millions of Mexican farmers, he signed normalized trade with communist slave labor China into law, he created all these H-1b work visas which suppress wages, and Clinton deregulated the banks (Financial Services Modernization Act of 1999).

Clinton did incredible damage to the US economy and around the world. And both parties have extended these same terrible neo-liberal policies. The WTO, the World Bank, and these un-democratic trade organizations just spread misery and suffering. And nothing is changing. We need new parties and new politics.

I'm sure Jerry Brown will be a typical good liberal and meet those budge woes by increasing taxes on the rich 1% and then increasing spending on new and current government programs. Afterall, isn't that what Democrats said is good for the economy? How's that hope and change working out for ya?

I am a progressive, but I don't want to hear Bill Clinton speaking out on every issue to serve his needy ego and constant seeking of spotlights and headlines. Let it go, Bill.

Gov. Jerry Brown, every state, and most Americans, except Bill and his 1 percenter mega millionaire cronies, are struggling with the economic consquences of Bill Clinton COLLUSION (conspiracy?) with the GOP on trade deals and repeal of the Glass Steagall protections to serve the coroporate profiteers. The greedy corporations brought Bill to power, he served their interests, and they have rewarded him with about $10 million a year in "speaking and consulting fees" since he left office. Nice gig if you can get it. Too bad the nation and the world suffer as a result.

No kidding. Perhaps if states and municipalities had looked upon taxes as funding for needed services rather than a source of investment funds for for the Wall Street robber barons they wouldn't be in the fix they are today. But we won't hear too much about that, will we?

Why anybody listens to Old Bill is inexplicable. The man is a fraud, has no character to speak of, doesn't respect anybody including his wife and daughter. What has happened to our values as people ? I came to the United States to live and work here in 1975, legally mind you, because that was my dream. I admired everything about America. Our democracy and way of life. Maybe all that's going on now was happening back then and we just didn't know about. I thing the situation in the US is getting worse with every election. I miss the days when you could watch a presidential debate without feeling nauseated as I do know. Our president, when on the "stump" does not look presidential at all. He looks more like a snake oil salesman. Definitively we're "scraping" the bottom of the barrel when it comes to picking our leaders.

Bill is just feeling guilty for NAFTA and the wage-tax base he destroyed nationwide.

Guilty? He is laughing all the way to the bank, paid by the greedy corporations who owned and own him. He has no conscience.

Add the repeal of Glass-Steagall to his "service" to his Wall Street cronies.

You make an important point.

If it is legal and many feel admirable for a former president to sell his influence around the globe to the highest bidders, often undermining his nation, why can't Bill reimburse American taxpayers for the added security costs when he is collecting $10 million or more a year in fees?
02:08 PM on 05/06/2012
Bill pay? He is probably the biggest feeder off the American people in our history..Just look at the taxpayer money he gets to fund HIS so called non profits!

Is there an atrocity he is not responsible for? He signed a bill into law, that is responsible for over half a million (!) children being in the foster care system. He signed a bill that would pay federal funds to the state for adopting out children. Since that bill got signed the removal rate of children has increased over 90% and the families singled out are poverty stricken people, and single parents, and minorities are hit the hardest. The defenseless lose their kids and you are paying for it. The rate of death in foster care is much higher in foster care and so are physical abuse and sexual abuse.
They tear families apart, put the kids in the system, and farm the to turn them into future prisoners so they can graduate into the prison system. Foster care kids are usually homeless or pregnant and without a job. Guess the percentage of your prisoners which come from the foster care system? 80%(!). Which perfectly makes sense if you consider that the rest of the world only has a fifth of the number of prisoners you do. That is why! Clinton's bill motivates out of financial greed to destroy families who are usually poor and minorities. That is the true origin of the countries problems, This is happening right under your nose.

"Condoleezza Rice, former U.S. secretary of state, now a professor of political economy at the Hoover Institution, was mostly concerned with the incapacity of K-12 public education, which she called "maybe our greatest national security threat.""
-------------------------------------------------->

It's interesting that she would key in on that issue, partucularly with the gutting of educational budgets in CA and acros the country. While she considers it a national security threat (she she is probably right) it would be interesting, even instructive, to hear har view on her party's position because they are intent on cuts that will further debilitate public education.

From now until 2016 this man gets his wife elected to the Presidency we'll be hearing this stuff w/every move he makes. Clinton is sidling up to Jerry Brown "feeling his pain." I remember in 1992 when he shook his finger in Brown's face during a debate when Jerry Brown made accusation about arrticle in Wash Post.

READ Roger Morris' dual biography of the Clintons, Partners in Power, The Clintons and Their America, 1996. Morris wrote the definitive bio of Nixon. The Arkansas corruption is stifling. They never owned a home, until he started running for presidency, they bought a home w/her investments (cattle futures controversy) as lawyer for Rose Law Firm, most powerful in AK. Everyone thinks his Clinton Initiative is bec he wants to do good. But he/she have become very wealthy.

Clinton signed repeal of Glass/Steagall and is jus as responsible for mess we're in as the casino players. Hillary's former deputy campaign advisor in '08 is U.S. lobbyist for TransCanada's Keystone XL II pipeline, conflict of interest for her as Sec of State. They're really a slick pair, but some think she's earth mother goddess. And I'm a radical feminist but I don't like these two at all. It's all about them.

This coming from the man who signed into law Bills that helped cause the problems we're experiencing now as a nation. From NAFTA , Welfare Reform and Glass Steagall he signed help the to cause shenanigans of Wall st, companies being rewarded for outsourcing jobs and putting more American women and children into poverty. President Clinton does not feel Americas pain, if he did he'd apologize to the nation for what he helped cause.
