Anja Rubik Met Gala 2012 Dress: For When You Want Your Hipbones To Be An Accessory (PHOTOS)

The 2012 Met Gala is definitely a time to experiment with fashion, but model Anja Rubik took experimenting to a whole new level on Monday night.

Rubik, who showed up on the arm of designer Anthony Vaccarello, was also wearing one of his creations: a cream-colored satiny dress with gaping holes in the, uh, chest and lower abdomen areas. Not only was Anja doing our favorite meme, Angelegging, but when we saw her in person on the red carpet, we were afraid more than just her leg was going to pop out.

It's not like Anja's afraid to show her body -- she posed for the famous Pirelli calendar in 2011. But, first Jessica White wore a dress cut up to there, and now Anja... is there about to be a whole new trend? Are hipbones the new cleavage?

And ... there's no way she's wearing underwear with that, right? Just sayin'.

While I love fashion, the dress is chicishly modern and avante-garde, her bones however, do nothing for it. The dress is not wearing her nor is she wearing the dress. It's just a vision of a bone rack that moves. Something in color may have been better.

I have no room to talk being of the Rubenesque variety of broad myself, but this dress.. no panties! What if it gets windy outside and the whole world sees your business?! Don't pull a Britney. Always wear panties - even if its a thong. Wear panties, America! Your mother will thank you for it.

Normally the brouha would be cause for celebration, but I swear I could hear Anna Wintour pant and whine as she rolled her eyes over that side of the tent to see herself being upstaged by the 28 year old model who for some reason had mistaken actress Angelina Jolie’s jutting slit thigh at this year’s Academy Awards as permission to showcase her own scrawny bony hip bone. Never mine, the scrawny bixch made the world realize why she’s a supermodel and why wearing underwear is certainly for amateurs.
