• 'Lonely, I'm Not'

Paul Weitz's new play stars Topher Grace (who Weitz previously directed Grace "In Good Company") as a corporate millionaire down on his luck, until he falls for a blind businesswoman. The Off-Broadway play, opening May 7, is Grace's professional theater debut. Go here for more information.

  • Dr. Dee

Last year, Damon Albarn made an opera, which, surprisingly, was his first solo effort. If you missed its run in England, you can now listen to the Blur/Gorillaz frontman's dalliance with high culture -- Dr. Dee -- at home. Check out "The Marvelous Dream" off the album -- which is out May 8 -- here.

  • Toni Morrison's 'Home'

Pulitzer Prize-winning novelist Toni Morrison is back with another novel, "Home," about a traumatized Korean War veteran returning to the U.S. in the 1950s. The novel, which stands at a digestible 160 pages, is out May 8 on Knopf.

  • World Premiere Ballets

The New York City Ballet's spring gala this year -- chaired honorably by Natalie Portman -- features two world premiere ballets charged with star power. One is choreographed by Portman's husband Benjamin Millepied and scored by Nico Muhly. The other is the work of Ballet Master in Chief Peter Martins, with music by Marc-André Dalbavie. The gala is on Thursday, May 10, at the David H. Koch Theater at Lincoln Center. Go here for more information.

  • 'Dark Shadows'

Tim Burton's latest film, "Dark Shadows," features Burton standbys Johnny Depp, Helena Bonham Carter and Michelle Pfeiffer (who a reader rightly reminded us bore a catsuit in "Batman Returns"). The film is a remake of a gothic soap opera from the 60s, with a plotline we've seen before in "Blast From the Past," "Enchanted," "Kate & Leopold," (the list goes on) except replace 50s golden boy, Disney princess and 19th-century duke with vampire.
