Søren Ragsdale's 'Our World Unwrapped' Depicts Topsy-Turvy Tourist Photos (PHOTOS)

Kaleidoscopic Tourist Photos

Many of the world's most treasured tourist attractions are more familiar to us as photographs than as real, physical forms. Yet these kaleidoscopic images from photographer Søren Ragsdale originally featured on Laughing Squid throw the tourist photo for a 360-degree loop.

Ragsdale's Flickr collection, entitled "Our World Unwrapped," takes the monuments we all know and morphs them into dizzying architectural mandalas. To make the images Ragsdale, a "TD" or technical drawing expert at Sony Pictures Imageworks, digitally added photographs onto a globe and projected the image onto a flat map, ending up with a trippy reverse-snow globe effect that will leave you as dazzled as you are disoriented. Don't you wish your travel photo albums could look like this?
