Could the first Trader Joe's in Denver be opening on Colorado Boulevard? That's just what the Denver Business Journal first reported on Friday citing three unnamed commercial real estate brokers as the source of the store's unconfirmed location.
This Denver location would be the second Colorado store for Trader Joe's. In February, the California grocery store chain announced that it would be opening its first Colorado store in Boulder at the Twenty Ninth Street Mall.
Trader Joe's has reportedly signed a letter of intent to open the first Denver store on the southeast Corner of Colorado Blvd. and Eighth Avenue, however the grocery store chain has not confirmed the rumored location, according to 7News.
See map below for where the store is likely to open.
9News reports that the Denver site is where Annie's Cafe used to be before it moved to Colfax Avenue in 2008 to make room for a hotel that was never built.
It remains unclear if the store's famed "Two Buck Chuck" wine will be sold at the Boulder location, the store has yet to file for a liquor license with the city.
