Dr. Phil McGraw Laughs With David Letterman About Oprah Winfrey On 'Late Show'

Never is Dr. Phil McGraw more relaxed than when he's sitting on an interview couch. And he always has a good time with David Letterman on "Late Show" (Weeknights, 11:35 p.m. ET on CBS). His latest stop was memorable in that it saw Letterman throwing some jabs toward the one-time queen of daytime television.

After McGraw cracked a joke, asking if he was being "b***h-slapped," Letterman was quick with a retort. "Working for Oprah you’re accustomed to it," he joked.

The two share an easy rapport, and fans always respond positively to seeing this lighter side of Dr. Phil. He's usually so much more serious on his own talk show, that it's easy to forget that he has a pretty sharp wit and certainly knows how to take a joke. Maybe once he's done helping people with their problems, McGraw will consider a gig in late night television.

"Dr. Phil" is syndicated weekdays nationwide. Check local listings for time and channel. "Late Show" is on every weeknight at 11:35 p.m. ET on CBS.
