Nicole Richie must have won the grand prize on her own TV show "Fashion Star," which offers designers the chance to sell their wares at Macy's and other stores.
Because move over, Madonna, Alberta Ferretti and doo.ri: Nicole will soon be throwing her hat into the Macy's collection ring as well.
Nicole Richie for Impulse will debut in 100 Macy's stores and online, Women's Wear Daily reports. The "Fashion Star" judge is the seventh designer to put out a collection with the Macy's Impulse line, joining fellow Impulsers Karl Lagerfeld and Matthew Williamson.
Martine Reardon, Macy’s chief marketing officer, told WWD that the collection will include a lot of Nicole's favorite trend, prints, as well as some "bright jewel colors." So basically, our favorite things.
The Macy's line, of course, won't be Nicole's first foray into fashion design: she already runs her popular House of Harlow and Winter Kate collections.
