Google

Slate:

It was astonishingly easy to quit Googling. In Chrome, Google's Web browser, I clicked a couple buttons in the Settings tab, and voilà, my default search engine was Bing. The great thing about Chrome is that it remembers your preferences across all your computers—I only needed to switch to Bing on my desktop, and there it was on my laptop, too. (Thank you, Google!) I made the same change on my iPhone and my iPad. The whole thing took 15 seconds and came without any advanced planning or any weighing of the potential downsides. I switched to Bing on a lark—and I've stuck with it, for better or worse, for a week.

It is possible; it would just be hard.

I'm one that uses a lot of Google services, and there's no other company that provides as much services. I use Google, G Voice, G Calendar, GMail, Picasa, G Docs, and Youtube.

I believe that Microsoft will be the company that can provide a good alternative. They just need to put out the products to make people like me want to switch. So far, I have not seen this happen.

i do lot of searches every day. i am a computer programmer and i do lot of research on the web everyday. i find no difference between bing and google. bing maps are better. the presentation is better on bing. the new features r making bing even better. competition is good for the industry. google should go back to the old look.

What a miserably stupid question.

I quit Google before the no privacy policy set in. I use netvibes instead of an igoggle homepage and bing / dogpile for my search engines. I switched my email to inbox.

I do not miss Google. They went from "Do No Evil" to "We Are Big Brother" they seduced with being "the cool guys" and then when they had more money than they could possible use, joined the 1%.

They use technology as a charitable tool. Do they help feed the hungry? Do they help catastrophe victims? Do they do anything charitable to help the "commoners"? No they do not.
