Joe Biden Apologized To Obama Over Gay Marriage Comments: Report

WASHINGTON -- A few hours before President Obama offered his historic endorsement of same-sex marriage on Wednesday, Vice President Joseph R. Biden Jr. apologized to the president in the Oval Office for forcing Mr. Obama's hand by airing his own views three days earlier, several people briefed on the exchange said on Thursday.

It's not really something Joe needs to apologize for. The truth will out.

The problem with "the gift of gab" is... the guy gabbing isn't always the one who gets the gift.

But, even though this stumble had the potential to wound, it showed an agile and courageous side of the president that needed to be shown. I'm not sure that could have happened in a planned roll out; campaign style.

I just hope that at some point we start talking about the CIVIL RIGHTS part of this issue; it's time to stop treating people as SECOND CLASS CITIZENS.

I still don't believe it was an accident. Joe Biden is spontaneous but not stupid and he knows that whatever is said on Meet the Press by anybody of his standing is widely discussed. I think that it was intended as it gave President Obama a "context" for his announcement.
I am a big fan of both, bravo!
