'The Jewelry Maker' Shows Susan Domelsmith Making 'Dirty Librarian Chains' In Brooklyn (VIDEO)

How To Make 'Dirty Librarian Chains'

Filmmaker Dustin Cohen released "The Jewelry Maker," the third installment in his online video series "Made in Brooklyn." The series tells the stories of artisans living in Brooklyn. So far, Cohen has captured "The Violin Maker" and "The Watch Maker."

"The Jewelry Maker" features Susan Domelsmith and her trinket-making company, Dirty Librarian Chains. Domelsmith constructs multi-use pieces out of repurposed material. The video shows Domelsmith in her sun-filled workshop full of found chains and bobbles. Each piece is constructed from the collected materials and can be used in a myriad of ways; necklaces become bracelets and belts with a quick wardrobe change.
