GAME 7
Washington Capitals
vs.
New York Rangers
Madison Square Garden
New York, New York
7:30 PM EST
In one of the most exciting events in all of sports, the Washington Capitals and New York Rangers duke it out in a decisive Game 7 Saturday night for a shot at the New Jersey Devils in the Eastern Conference Finals. It's win-or-go-home time. Does it get any better?
Both teams know how it feels, having already played a Game 7 in these playoffs already (meaning this is their 14th games of the postseason) The Caps edged the Bruins in overtime to clinch their first-round series and the Rangers, who are undefeated in Game 7s at the Garden, ousted the Ottawa Senators in seven games.
And both of these teams have been used to nail-biters in the playoffs. Twelve of Washington's 13 games have been decided by one goal, while 10 of New York's 13 matches have been separated by a single score.
Will the No. 1 Rangers put the Caps away to set up a Hudson River series in the conference finals? Or will Washington continue their spectacular run behind rookie goaltender Braden Holtby and star Alex Ovechkin?

Rangers get possession just as Holtby was going to leave the net. Now he's gone. Empty net.
Hamerlik dumps it in but the Rangers clear it right away. Puck deflects off Hamerlik and out of play.
Backstrom tries to center a pass in front of the net but Anisimov intercepts it. Battle for the puck behind Holtby.
Both teams get good shots off but both netminders make saves. Rangers are now on the power play.
Boyle nearly scores a short-handed goal as he gets a backhanded shot off but a Capital ends up in the net. The announcers thought it was a goal and it would be reviewed. But the referee immediately said it was no-goal, reviewed it, and confirmed. No goal.
