Jesse Brandon Davis And Hector Manuel Rodriguez Charged In Kidnapping And Killing Of Fla. Teens

Florida Murder
Police arrested two suspects in the alleged murder of two Florida teens during April.

ORLANDO, Fla. (AP) — Authorities say two men have been charged with first-degree murder in the killings of two teenagers whose bodies were found engulfed in flames along a central Florida trail.

The Orlando Sentinel says 30-year-old Jesse Brandon Davis and 31-year-old Hector Manuel Rodriguez also have been charged with kidnapping in the deaths of 16-year-old Nicholas Presha and 18-year-old Jeremy Stewart in April.

It was not immediately known if the men had lawyers.

Orange County Sheriff Jerry Demings said the Winter Park High School students met the two men intending to sell them two stolen handguns. But he says the teens were robbed and shot with at least one of the stolen guns.

The teens' bodies were found last month on a charred patch of grass along the Cady Way Trail.

You start down the road of doing wrong things..you don't know what's coming out the door you open. I can't even imagine the terror those young men must have felt the second they knew their lives were about to end. Wishing they were some place else but knowing it was too late. It's too horrible to think about.

I was feeling bad for the teens ..using that word loosely, until I saw the teens, men, and the selling and buying of guns were all a part of the scenerio, my sympathy level went down drastically. However, it would be a horrible way to die from burning up. Couldn't they have just put each out of their misery by shooting and killing each other? It would be a more humane way of getting rid of thugs.

i dont think they got the guns. thats the point of the whole plot. the mwn showed up and robbed the teens. they got jacked, and then shot, and then burnt. that sucks, especially because they were so young. if your gonna do something illegal, it should be with people that you know, at least.

So you're saying that the teens should have taken precautions to purchase guns illegally because that would be better for their safety?? Your moral compass is in the wrong direction!

You ma'am, and I use these words loosely, are a callous witch. These were boys, not men, whose lives were taken, regardless of why, who or how.

Lemme guess... they will use the "SYG" defense?

"Well, your honor, while we were trying to buy guns from these two, well, they looked older men... they drew down on us, and we defended ourselves, as is our right... here in Florida's Wild West".

Florida... Gotta love it. Its the basement of America. There would be no In Session on Court TV if it wasn't for Florida. We need to flip that thing over and shake it out real good.

If the United States were to receive a penicillin shot, the needle should be placed in Florida.

Not very many crowbars travel at the speed of a bullet. I think crowbars that dangerous should be outlawed, though

Whatever! Nobody wants your guns. There should be stricter laws however. That is a strawman arguement.

The story is somewhat less than clear about who was buying and who was selling ... However, it is clear that the teens were involved in the sale of illegal weapons.

Put your reading glasses on! They were trying to SELL the stolen guns!
04:15 PM on 05/14/2012
No, not clear, read it again. Logic dictates that the teens were BUYING, which is why they had cash and were robbed at gunpoint by the guns they were intending to buy. Young and naive.
