Will Ferrell Returns As George Bush In 'SNL' Cold Open (VIDEO)

WATCH: Will Ferrell Returns As George W. Bush On 'SNL'

Will Ferrell kicked off his return to "SNL" with a surprise appearance in the cold open doing one of his most famous impressions, former president George W. Bush.

In a send-up of Obama's gay marriage announcement, the sketch saw Joe Biden as an angry teenager, lashing out at the president for stealing the spotlight on the issue. Fred Armisen returned as Obama, attempting to soothe the angst of his vice president, played by Jason Sudeikis.

After chiding Biden for continuing to talk about his imaginary friend "George" and leaving him $20 for pizza, Obama heads off to a black tie event with Elton John and Lady Gaga. Once alone, Biden gets a visit from his friend, who is very real after all. The two lament not being taken seriously by their respective bosses, in Bush's case, Dick Cheney.

Watch the clip above and let us know what you thought of seeing Biden and Bush together.
