Kenyetta Wilbourn sees each of the students at Detroit's Denby High School as individuals. And each one has different needs.
It would be easy to dismiss Denby's student body, to close the doors of the eastside school and to leave the surrounding community in a lurch. Instead, the individualized attention Wilbourn has worked to foster in Denby will continue as the school transitions to the new statewide Education Achievement Authority.
