• 65th Annual Cannes Film Festival

For the first time in years, Hollywood is sending a strong showing to the Cannes Film Festival, which starts this Wednesday, 6 films that happen to star biggies like Brad Pitt, Nicole Kidman, Reese Witherspoon and Kristen Stewart. What this means is officials are busy preparing for the possibility that people might actually follow the festival this year. Gotta love star power.

  • 'The Only Place'

Bethany Cosentino is apparently all grown up. "The Only Place," the "polished" sophomore followup from Cosentino's very California band Best Coast, drops this Tuesday, just in time for the summer.

  • 'The Dictator'

This Wednesday, Sacha Baron Cohen returns to US theaters as a character somewhere between Borat and Osama Bin Laden, in "The Dictator."

  • 78th Annual Drama League Awards

This Friday, the awards show billed as the oldest theatrical honors in America will take over the Marriot Marquis in Times Square. Among the nominees are Nina Arianda, for her star-making turn in "Venus In Fur."

  • SNL Series Finale

Mick Jagger is scheduled for double duty for SNL's season finale this Saturday, hosting and performing, with a little help from The Foo Fighters and Arcade Fire. Check out this old 2001 SNL skit featuring Jagger, from back when Jimmy Fallon didn't have his own TV show.
