For the first time in years, Hollywood is sending a strong showing to the Cannes Film Festival, which starts this Wednesday, 6 films that happen to star biggies like Brad Pitt, Nicole Kidman, Reese Witherspoon and Kristen Stewart. What this means is officials are busy preparing for the possibility that people might actually follow the festival this year. Gotta love star power.
Bethany Cosentino is apparently all grown up. "The Only Place," the "polished" sophomore followup from Cosentino's very California band Best Coast, drops this Tuesday, just in time for the summer.

This Friday, the awards show billed as the oldest theatrical honors in America will take over the Marriot Marquis in Times Square. Among the nominees are Nina Arianda, for her star-making turn in "Venus In Fur."
