'River Monsters': Jeremy Wade Hunts The Mongolian Mauler And Fends Off Ninjas (VIDEO)

"River Monsters": ninjas attack!

"River Monsters" (Sun., 10 p.m. ET on Animal Planet) host, biologist and extreme angler Jeremy Wade, frequently flirts with danger on his quest to find his prey.

However, on a trip to Mongolia it was Wade himself who was being hunted. By ninjas no less.

While out hunting for the river monster known as the "Mongolian Mauler," Wade and his crew were shot at by gold-prospecting ninjas who wanted them to get off their land.

Eventually Wade did catch his monster, but only after getting some help from a local shaman.

Wade's adventures continue each week on "River Monsters," Sundays at 10 p.m. ET on Animal Planet.
