Gary Stein, Discharged Tea Party Marine, Takes A Birther Turn

Gary Stein Birther

Gary Stein, the former Marine discharged for critical comments he made about President Barack Obama on his Tea Party-affiliated Facebook page, is now creating more controversy on the same social network. This time, he appears to have some doubts about the president's birthplace.

From a post earlier this week:

The response on his Facebook page has been mixed. Some people appear to agree with his sentiment, while others have accused him of undermining his message by subscribing to conspiracy theories.

The president, whose long-form birth certificate indicates that he was born in Honolulu, Hawaii, was in California last week for a star-studded fundraiser that brought in around $15 million.

Stein had earlier been outspoken about his opposition to Obama.

"Screw Obama and I will not follow all orders from him," Stein once wrote on Facebook, later clarifying that he would not follow unlawful orders. Stein also referred to the president as the economic enemy, the religious enemy and a "domestic enemy."

But the tilt toward birther conspiracy seems to be a new direction for the former military man.

Since leaving the Marines, Stein has launched a conservative talk radio program that airs weekly.

This is not news. I have been following Gary Stein and have been banned from his pages long ago. He is nothing more than an ignorant and semi-illiterate fame seeker. You have to follow what this guy has been doing to try and keep his name in the news. He isn't gaining followers but he is losing them. The so called radio show is a joke as well. If he has a dozen listeners that would be a considered a good show for Stein. He's trying to take donations to get by on as he is a failed realtor and worse yet a failed Marine. This story just helps Stein because there will be a few people who read this that are dim enough to think he's some kind of hero, thus adding to his fan base.

Why would I care about a former Marine sergeant who received an other-than-honorable discharge for being less than honorable to his oath? He is a professional whiner. He is not news worthy and a disgrace to the Marines and NOT patriotic.

This "ZERO" Gary Stein is no longer relevent to anything! Who cares what this disgrace to the Marines thinks about anything! In America we raise up our heros, not our ZEROS!

Yes, it is very telling when a discharged former marine tries to insult the President of the United States with plagiarized statements VERBATIM taken from Late Night television, that was originally used as monologue jokes. The only people who are impressed with this man are those who enjoy lives of ignorance, and are swimming in their bigotry and prejudice and it coats them like a slimy film that reminds us all of how disgusting these views really are.

The author of the article did make one mistake, "But the tilt toward birther conspiracy seems to be a new direction for the former military man."

No. His lawyer in the "case" against him for discharge was a well-known Birther lawyer, Gary Kreep. This was predicted by at least five of us on this site.

ohhhhh waahhhhh somebody's butthurt because he couldnt remember the part of the UCMJ that says ALL active duty military servicemen have to remain politically neutral in the public eye. The UCMJ is something taught in boot camp to all servicemen and violation can mean discharge or even imprisonment in some cases. He only did this to make himself a martyr because the average teabagger is too stupid to even realize whats in the UCMJ

If Obama acts like a Hawaian, Gary was acting like a Marine.

Just what the country needs. Another rabidly conservative radio host spewing hatred and 'birther' garbage.

The president was born in this country. Period.

The post made by Gary Stein was a copy and paste job. It was said by Craig Ferguson on May 10, 2012 during his monolog. He copied and pasted it then attempted to pass it off as his own thought. No credit was given to The Craig Ferguson Show. So he may not be a "birther" but he sure is a plagiarizer.

The health care law that Obama signed into law was originally written by the far-right Heritage Foundation as a response to the Clinton-era failure of health care reform.

How is Obama a 'socialist' for adopting far-right extremist legislation?

Who cares? He has a Other than honorable (Bad Conduct) discharge. He is now no better than the convicted felons who walk the streets.

Hypocrisy is one of my pet peeves.

I knew this guy would be a Tea Party 'darling' as soon as he left the marines. Nothing about this surprises me. Obviously his so called 'apology' was fake.
