Lysol Allegedly Sprayed At Prom By Chaperones

These prom chaperones are accused of both saying it and spraying it.

Two parents allegedly doused dirty-dancing teens at Manitou Springs High School with Lysol and called female students "whores" and "sluts," according to the Denver Channel.

The parents, Jennifer Farmer and Hannah Rockey, deny the accusations about conduct that allegedly took place during the Colorado school's prom in April.

A police report obtained by the Smoking Gun says students complained that the Lysol spray got into their mouths and eyes and forced some of them to leave the dance.

The report also says a student told police that Farmer and Rockey said some dancers "were advertising butt sex.”

In a press release sent to The Huffington Post, the Manitou Springs School District said, "The alleged actions by parent chaperones during the high school prom are in no way condoned by the school district."

"It is unfortunate that the parent chaperones did not report to school personnel their concerns regarding what they believed to be inappropriate dancing," the release states.

Those women should be spending a few weeks in jail and their poor children should live with normal families...just so they can tell the difference between normal and crazy.

This year and last were my first experiences chaperoning high school dances at another school here in Colorado Springs. We were advised to keep an eye on the boys, as boys are supposed to be raging bundles of hormones that can't keep from doing bad things to girls. We went through a training advising us to watch for and to stop inappropriate behavior.

My experience was enlightening, as it revealed that boys were more prone to be absolutely terrified of doing anything remotely sexual in public, but the girls themselves were the active instigators, humping, grinding and "dropping that ass" all over the place.

In addition, we've gone crazy enforcing dress codes and standards for students. Boys are targeted hard for sagging. But, girls routinely flaunt and defy the dress codes, wearing all sorts of inappropriate clothing to school, and they are never tasked the same ways as boys, citing "freedom of expression".

It just goes to show how double standards and prejudices are applied to gender, and also shows how reason goes right out the window when it comes to enforcing standards.

Oh, and I didn't have to do or say anything to the kids that were "dirty dancing". All I had to do was walk up to them and give them "the Dad look", and they got so freaked out that they promptly stopped. :-)

This sounds like premeditated assault. Do women normally carry cans of lysol around with them? I'm going to go out on a limb here and will probably hear about it, but I would bet good money that these are good Christian Republican women who want to impose their morals on everyone else.

As a chaperone they had the right to tell the kids to settle down. Spraying Lysol was both insane and idiotic. It could've set off asthma in a sensitive kid, it could've stained expensive clothing, etc. etc. They didn't have the right to do this.
I'm sick of right wing lunatics deciding for the rest of us what their god thinks is proper behavior. If they want proper behavior then their children should go to a Taliban school. Lord, protect me from your followers, especially the ones who think you're talking to them so they can tell me how to behave.

You could say whatever you want about how kids dance these days but in no way does that give you the right to spray them like that. Anyone who does that has issues of their own.

We've got to do something about this sex thing before it gets completely out of hand. It simply must stop! Perhaps a constitutional amendment requiring people to wear chastity devices until their wedding day will do the trick. It's worth a try.

Too bad those weren't my kids. Always wanted to own a school district and a couple of housemaids. They're so enthused about spraying lysol I've got a couple of barns they could (and would) devote the rest of their lives to.

if those girls dressed like the ones I saw around last week here. lysol wouldn't cut it, pigs need something way stronger. btw whatever happened to wearing a nice dress or gown? those girls were dressed cheaper than a street walker, and mom was taking loads of pictures of her little tart in training. I just drove by and shook my head in disbelief.

I am sorry but I would have gotten even type ignorant with them if my child was sprayed with Lysol, I would have purchased some Ben Gay and sprayed the chaperons with it. Sound like a case of being jealous cause your old and choose otherwise. They are kids! They already see, know , and do way too much all parents can do is advise, nurture, reinforce and pray for the best.
