The April 16 Liberty Committee letter demanded repayment within 10 business days. Paul responded in an April 26 letter, writing, “My records do not show any mistaken reimbursements, but I do take these matters very seriously. Please send me copies of all the record [sic] you refer to — invoices, receipts and tickets — and I will have my staff review them thoroughly to determine if any mistakes were in fact made.”

On Saturday, Benton said that James “has not sent any records or documentation of any kind to back up his claims of decade-old double reimbursement, only a letter demanding $20,000.”

Unfortunately, incomplete specifically selected citing seems to be fair game these days. Publishing skewed "executive summaries" is very convenient to score political goals. Below is the missing balancing part of the the cited article indicating that investigation is ongoing:

Ron Paul will be the next President of the United States. Those in power voided any chance of Romney or Obama becoming elected. Anyone who thinks otherwise is only fooling themselves.

Apparently corporate media in the U.S. think it's perfectly alright to purposely spread lies and misinformation about the Presidential election and candidates like telling the public that Ron Paul dropped out of the Presidential race when he hasn't. They might feel this type of fraud is okay, even the frauds in government might think they can turn their back to such criminal behavior , but I don't believe Americans will accept such criminal activity. If the evil doers in control of the media think they are free to give any false information they want in regards to this election they are in for a rude awakening. If these frauds think they can steal the election away from Dr. Ron Paul through fraudulent behavior and get away with it then they better think again because I don't believe Americans will accept such criminal behavior or the results coming from it. So go on corporate media, lie some more to the public about Ron Paul and this election and see where it gets you, because I believe America is not going to tolerate your corruption any more or recognize any of the frauds you put into power because of your criminal behavior. Your only fooling yourself if you think your going to get away with any of this.

Of course the double dipping had to be an accident.   Teapublicans would never, ever, ever do anything to personally enrich themselves at the taxpayer's or their campaign supporters' expense.

How small and vindictive are the anti- Ron Paul sector ? In their self-righteous excuse for their hate for someone who only wishes the best for the American people, they are willing to obsess over the smallest details. Accusations are not proof and $20,000 is chump change in a multi-million dollar campaign.
Why is everyone so willing to overlook Romney's contribution to the damage of our economy through Bain Capital or the incompetence of Obama, just so they can exclude Ron Paul's message from even being heard.
What is next- accusations of jay walking and how his disrespect for pedestrian cross walks make him a poor choice for president ?

Accusations made by Fox News lead many to believe that Obama is a white hating marxist who is destined to destroy the country. Oh lets not forget the birthers to...

We can never just discuss the issues. It's all about sensationalism these days sadly.

Kasado you must have miss read the article; it is former Paul supporters who are going after him. Not vindictive anti paulers, these are his former supporters who realize they were burned by him stepping out of the race. They know when they have been jacked around, unlike the Palinista's who still believe she is running a unconventional race.

The Liberty Committee, a nonprofit headed by former Paul aide David James does not represent ALL of the supporters of Ron Paul. And we Paulites understand that Romney is NOW the undisputed nominee (was there ever any doubt) with any more money used in the last few primaries would be wasted.
You like many have taken an accusation and used it to justify your dislike of Ron Paul and his message of liberty from government control.

Ron Paul is a Republican, He was running on the Republican ticket, He was a Staunch Anti-Gay, Anti-women, Pro-lifer. Why any Libertarian ever thought he was one of them is beyond me.
