Teachers Dance Behind Students At Abby Kelley Foster Charter School For Hilarious Prank (VIDEO)

The Huffington Post  |  By Posted: 05/15/2012 11:48 am Updated: 05/15/2012 11:48 am

Think your class pulled off the best prank of the year? Think again.

At Abby Kelley Foster Charter School in Massachusetts, the teachers might have just schooled the students.

Staff at the school asked students to participate in on-camera interviews, while teachers nonchalantly made their way into the background and photobombed the recording by dancing their hearts out to what would later be Whitney Houston's "I Wanna Dance With Somebody."

Perhaps best of all, none of the students seem to suspect a thing.

And some of the educators can really get down, as they show off their best sprinklers and salsa moves in the school's hallways, stairwells and music rooms.

No place seems to be off limits as the bright-eyed students pour their hearts out to the camera, unbeknownst to the dance party going on in the background.

We can only imagine the hilarity that ensued when students caught wind of the finished product. Surprise!

As a teacher myself, I find this video to be simply wonderful. It shows the personal side of teachers that so many students, parents, and other people never get to see. The best teachers I've met are those who are not afraid to be themselves, rather than maintaining a stuffy, professional mentality at all times. I've made many videos as well, some with students and some without, and the students always get a kick out of them.

I love it. I'm especially impressed with the cameraman for not giving it away. I wouldn't have been able to keep a straight face.

We're actually doing a Teacher Flash Mob tomorrow morning, lol. We're going to stage a faux fight between two kids, and when everyone naturally forms a circle around them, and the teachers come in to "break up" the fight, then we'll cue the music & we'll all dance for half a minute & then leave. (Not quite long enough for their cell phones to get any footage, is the plan).

You young people are SOOO lucky to have teachers like this!!! Although I am old as most rocks
I would have loved to go to school with these teachers...they look like they have GREAT senses of humor, and that is what it takes to get the job done. You can learn a lot more from a person who shows their "human" side once in a while than from an old prune who is all about discipline all the time. Congratulations to all of you!

There is a time for work and a time for play, so if these Teachers are having some fun with their Senior Class, then let them have FUN. Many of the posts here are chastising this video as "dumb", "inappropriate", "not necessary" etcetera. Those people need to just lighten up before they "stroke-out" because they are so upset. We need to teach our children how to laugh, but most importantly we need to teach them to laugh at themselves...
